Abstract

Wonokitri Village is a village in Tosari District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province, with authentic Tengger Tribe customs and culture, the last entrance to the Bromo area from Pasuruan Regency. To understand tourism communication models and increase tourist visits. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The resource persons consisted of the Pokdarwis chairman and the villagers' head. The theory used is Lasswell's communication model, i.e.  Who Says what I which Channel To whom With what effect to explain communication is not just the delivery of messages, but also complex interactions that are influenced by various interrelated factors, Effective messages will be able to attract tourists, enrich the tourist experience, By utilizing the right various communication channels, culture-based tourism messages can be conveyed effectively to attract tourists and support tourism development, as well as increasing community income. In conclusion, the lasswell communication model and through atwo-way approach in the development of culture-based tourism By integrating the cultural diversity of the tengger tribe, will create aunique and meaningful tourist destination, tourists who visit not only enjoy the beauty of nature, but also get a rich and authentic cultural experience.
